how Oracle Projects differentiates between interompany & intracompany charges

Hi,

On a single Project we need to have both intercompany & intracompany entered. Can Oracle Projects automatically identify interco & intraco transactions separately, if yes, how is this distinction arrived at.

Please help me in understanding the above process.
