Project details greyed out while creating purchase requisition for inventory item.

Hi,
While Creating a Purchase Requisition/Purchase Order for a Inventory Item.When navigating thru ... Requisition>Lines>Distributions>Project Tab/PO>Shipping>Distributions>Projects Tab, the Projects and

Tasks fields are greyed out(disabled) any idea why??

If I change destination from Inventory to Expense then project fields getting enabled, but that is not my requirement.It means we can give project details for expense items only??

Please Elaborate.

For projects we are implementing : P.costing, P.management,P.collaboration and P.contracts

and SCM : Purchasing/Inventory
