Asset Workbench : Location Flexfield - Query using one segment

Dear all,

     We have the Asset Location Flexfield with 5 segments. The structure looks like country, state, branch, area, subarea.

We are not able to query the location with one segment ie. city alone in the Asset Workbench. ie. we need to find the list of assets belonging to city 'A' from the Asset Workbench.

Whenever we enter the first segment ie. city and try to proceed again, we are not getting any values though lot of assets exists.

We have made dynamic insert allowed, valuset as 'Not required'. Pls let u show to define this KFF so that we can query the same.
