Run Compute Depreciation Twice/Period
Hi,
We are using a user defined depreciation method:
Basis value (10) =01+02+22-07
Depreciation = 10/64
I will take an asset for example.
Depreciation Start Date: 01.07.2012
Cost: 22432,50
Life Periods: 10
When I run Compute Depreciation for this asset in period 7, I get:
Cumulated Depreciation : 2243,25-
Depreciation Expense: 2243,25
..so far so good
The problem apears when I have to run again the Compute Depreciation for period 7, for other assets, and it is not enough to eliminate depreciated asset for period 7.
So, the system recalculates the depreciation amount:
(22432,50 - 2243,25) /10 = 20189,25/10 = 2018,93
And creates an adjustment entry with the difference:
2243,25- 2018,93 = 224,32
If I ran the compute depreciation for an asset in a period, the second time I ran, I would like the system to ignore it. Can you help me with an advice?
