R12 adpreclone.pl % completed doesn't update

After upgrading to R12 from 11.5.10.2, I'm performing adpreclone.pl as a post-upgrade step.

The % completed at the bottom of the process doesn't update very often if at all.   It stays at 0% completed for a very long time and then after about 10 minutes, it updates to 100% completed.  Is this the new intended functionality of adpreclone.pl?  Or, are there some patches for fixing this?

I'm running this version.
