Reserving Orders when lines are assigned to a SubInventory

Hi,

I need to pick release from a particualr subinventory and so have assigned this subinventory at the sales order line level.

However, when I do this I cannot reserve direct on the line (by typing in the required qty into the Qty Reserved field) or by running the Reserve Order conc request for that order.

I get a note stating that I cannot reserve to a subinventory as the item is under lot control - this is correct and I understand this std functionality. The only way I can reserve these lines is to go to Tools > Reservation Details and maually assigned the inventory line by line - very time consuming.
