Reports in R12 running with ar60run: command is not working

We have few GL related reports in Oracle 11i that runs from a shell program. This shell program execute a ar60run command and run a Oracle report by using some of the parameters that are passed thru this shell program. We are getting the following error message. We still need to run this program thru shell as we are passing some variable this way to this program.

I know ar60run is not supported in R12 but need to know our options. How did you get around this issue in R12.
