to balance loading among CPUs

Good day!

We would like to add one more CPU into database server to improve his performance because we expect increasing of load in the nearest feature.

Answer me please, is it possible to balance loading among CPUs? How can we do this: it will happen automatically, we need to configure OS and/or by DB-settings or other way?
