Life Extension Factor

Hi All,

We are on 11i. We have assets that are fully reserved with NBV of 0 and remaining life of 0. We need to impair the asset cost (reduce) without changing the NBV or remaining life. How do we achieve this?

One of our business users revalued some fully reserved assets by checking the box "Revalue fully reserved asset" and leaving the Life extension factor field empty. There was no error message during the process. All the assets got processed but now we notice that these assets have NBV >0 but remaining life is still zero. Is this because the Life extension factor was not entered?
