Database upgradation

Hi,
We are upgrading our existing hardware and os from AIX 5.3 with Oracle 9i ti AIX 7.1 with Oracle 11g and with Data Guard and Oracle RAC - if encrypting is enabled will this cause any issue with the HFM database and is this a supported environment.
