Should a project appear in the project list even after being end-dated as a team member ?

Can a project manager never wave goodbye to a project until it is closed ?

We have examples where someone was named as Project Manager on a project for a while, but someone else now has that role - but the Project still appears in the first PM's Project List - has anyone found a bug for this?
