Strange behavior with Live Upgrade

 Last week we tried to create a BE for patching purpose on a server that has 1 NGZ. But the patching failed with a message a "trying to mount <NGZ zonepath> failed". When we tried lucreate again with same name again, it threw error messages as BE name already exists.
We tried to delete BE but it mounted the existing zonepath of running zone and deleted files under it. With luck we are able to restore the NGZ from backup.

Unfortunately we don't have the exact error messages.

Here is my understanding of the issue.
 
1. When BE is created, it will create a snapshot and clone from snapshot for all running NGZ.
