Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. How to change BI Publisher 11.1.1.5 session timeout ?

Hello,

We need to increase session timeout in BI Publisher 11.1.1.5.

We found tips on Oracle BI Publisher Blog: https://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/entry/session_timeouts

They recommend to change web.xml file content.

Is it right and a single way ?

If yes, how can we handle BI Publisher patches installation process when web.xml file may be replaced implictly.

So the timeout will be set to default value implictly.

Does it handle manually or able to be automated ?
