Oracle DBA Colleagues,

I have seen many articles on how to perform parallel rman backups on a single Oracle RAC db instance.  I am interested in taking this concept to the next level by attempting to allocate the rman channels across multiple instances in a RAC configuration.  I am interested in executing an rman script that will connect to a backup service that will be defined with 3 preferred db instances, then allocating 12 rman channels with the goal of there being 4 channels on each of the 3 db instances(ie. 4 chans x 3 instances=12 channels).  I think server side load balancing and/or service
