Character Sets

Hello All,

I need a quick help from all please.

Let me explain the problem we are having:

The databases are recently migrated from Solaris to AIX 6.4 version. Database version remains same for few and few were ugraded from 10.2.0.4 to 10.2.0.5.

Since the migration, all queries that have been created which contain the ‘£’ character are not being encoded correctly on databases. In each instance the ‘£’ character is being converted to eg £177.60 or Ã?£329.00.

Before migration, all ‘£’ characters were being saved correctly with no rogue characters being added before to the ‘£’ character. Eg £329.00.

The fundamental problem appears to be down to how character sets are configured on the migrated servers/databases.

Howdy, Stranger!
