Siebel Server does not start up

We have upgraded from 7.7 SEA to 8.1 SEA.  OUr database is Oracle 10g on HPUNX and our Siebel environment is set up on Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit.  After we installed 8.1 and before we upgrade it the Siebel Server did not start up.  We were under the assumption that this is normal behavior as we had not upgraded yet.  After the upgrade took place we tried to start the Siebel Server and it will show that it is started for a few seconds but then crash.  Sometimes it will be in a started state for minutes but in
