Should I apply these patches on Linux x86-64?

 I'm reviewing the  Interoperability Notes EBS R12 with Database 11gR2 [ID 1058763.1]"  and came across patches  11071569 ,  9738085 and 9852070. the patches are available for generic platform but the read me's mention that the patches deliver a fix specific to Windows and HP-UX. I'm actually facing the exact issue mentioned in  9852070. 

Should I still apply these patches?
