10.1.2 and 10.1.3 patch on R12 x86-64

Should I be applying 32 bit patches or 64-bit patches for 10.1.2 and 10.1.3 homes on an R12 x86-64 bit EBS installations? I know even though the installation is 64 bit, it still uses 32-bit binaries, so I'm confused about the patches.
