11i (11.5.10.2) to R12 upgrade

Is it possible to upgrade module by module? (11i to R12)

For example

1) Copy EBS11i to HCM_EBS11i

2) Upgrade HCM_EBS 11i to R12 (If possilble upgrade HCM module alone)

3) Somehow establish connection between EBS11i and HCM_EBSr12 for financial data flow.

4) Let HCM users use HCM_EBSr12 and others use EBS11i

5) Later Migrate EBS11i to R12.

Is above upgrade plan possible?
