shared pool in RAC: gcs shadows and gcs resources

Dear all,

Within RAC instances' shared pool, may I know the usage of "gcs shadows" and "gcs resources" , and the differences between them?

I am curious on this as they are the main two contributors of the gcs catalog in shared pool.

Secondly, from some metalink notes, I notice the need to increase shared pool size when number of nodes increases. Are there rule of thumbs on the % increase of shared pool size for each additional node? and is the value of % increase become larger when more nodes added to the cluster ?
