Auto Approval for Tolerances not working as expected

Hi -

We have defined Auto Approval Tolerances for Need By and Promised Date and these are set to 300 Days.  However, when the Buyer modifies either date by 1, the PO still requires re-approval (since a new revision is being created).  Buyer has sufficient approval limit, so no additional approval is needed.  But shouldn't these settings eliminate the need to submit the PO for re-approval?
