Multipath is confused, and so am I

I'll try to be brief yet descriptive. I have a support case open for this and its driving me nuts.

I configured 4 multipath devices for oracle, mounted them and everyone is happy. I dod not confirm at the time that I actually had 2 paths to my SAN, but I should have. (I didn't)

So, one of the fabric routers was rebooted, luckily this is the one which held the active path to my oracle box. SHTF, but eventually we get all the drives remounted happily and we move on.

I go back to troubleshoot the single path issue 8/9. While doing so I munge the disks by issuing a pvcreate. I am able to do a vgcfgrestore on the discs from /etc/lvm/archive and reconnect the drives correctly.
