How to properly deinstall / remove an EM11g agent from an Exadata cluster

Hi,
This seems one of the best undocumented steps/features in the Exadata and Enterprise Manager documentation, so I'd like to see if there's anyone who can provide some pointers. Recently we upgraded an EM11g system to EM12c. Now, time has come to de-install the former EM11g agents. But how do I do this in a proper way for Exadata?

Note that the current EM11g Agent installation is a clustered install and was done using a silent install / wget method (so we didn't use the EM Setup Automation kit). My takes so far are:

/opt/oracle.SupportTools/dbmcprov/scripts
