Changing the font colour and other characteristics in tip text

Hi
We are wanting to change the display characteristics of a tip on a self service page to a different colour and weight to the default.
We have found various information on style sheets but have so far been unable to actually change the displayed text using the Personalization Structure.
Could someone please guide us on how to effect this change?
Any help is much appreciated.
