What version of Smart View should I use?

There seems to be a big of confusion on what version of Smart View to use.  Unlike most other Hyperion client side software, you do not have to match the underlying provider exactly.  You can always move to the most current version of Smart View.  The Smart View development team works diligently to ensure the backward compatibility of Smart View to all providers.  If there is an exception, it would be documented in the readme.
What is NOT supported is using a version of Smart View lower than the underlying provider. 

Example;  If you are on HFM 11.1.1.3.500, you cannot use Smart View 11.1.1.3.0.  You would have to be using at least Smart View 11.1.1.3.500.
