Can we make the item field in Labor debrief mandatory in MFS Laptop

It is critical to our process that field engineers select and item in the labor debrief, however the field is not showing as a mandatory field in Oracle MFS Laptop. We would like to make the item field mandatory when debriefing in MFS Laptop. Is this possible in 11.5.10?
