The other day, I cd 'd into one of my directories.  ls -l gave me an IO ERROR.  The files and filesystem had always been working fine till then.  As far as I know, nothing changed.
The Volume(s) is FIBER connected to a switch which in turn is connected to a 2540 Disk Array. The Physical disks are fine. The Array is fine. The server simply no longer sees the Volume(s).
The connection is/was NOT a reundant connection... I have only one fiber card available and the Volumes are not Production.... Though I need them to be available.)
