redo and archive logs

I have a Siebel database that every once in a while will generate a lot of redo (i.e archivelogs).  From running AWR reports I see SQLLoader inserting into EIM_PROD_INT.  Then I see the SQL Module siebsh.exe doing updates against EIM_PROD_INT. There are also select statements against multiple tables by siebmtshmv.exe. 

 

Can someone explain this to me?

And is there a way to reduce the redo generated with Siebel?
