Removing a retired buyer name from an active sourcing event

Hello -

We have a sourcing event that is stuck.  The buyer has retired and the sourcing event is open and active but no actions can be made because buyer is now an inactive employee. Does anyone know how we can remove this buyer from this sourcing event?
