ZA PAY: Runs for previous tax year done after March, now impacting tax for current tax year
Hi,
I have never come across a scenario like this. I have a ZA Tax query where the employee is paying too much tax. The steps done -
- The payroll runs for January and February 2012 reflects 0 SOE.
- The March 2012 run was then done
- Quickpays were done for January and February with Date paid = 31-Mar-2012 and Date earned = Jan or Feb dates depending on which Quickpay was run
- If I look at the current YTD's it includes some of the previous years YTD's which is impacting the Tax calculation
- If I make balance adjustments, it takes it into negative.
- If I delete the balance adjustments, the YTD balance now reflects correctly.
