Responsibility assigned to user not visible when logged in

Hi all

The system administrator assigned a responsiblity to a user, however when the user logged on it says "n o responsibility is assigned to user"...Please note the end date for the user and responsibilty has not expired. Please advise on how to correct this problem ASAP??
