Questions about installing a new RAC environment under Solaris 11

edited Aug 30, 2012 4:07AM in Oracle Solaris Cluster (MOSC) 6 commentsAnswered
I have to make a new installation configuring RAC on Solaris 11, and after reading a lot of useful information I have some questions to setup the system using the best practices of those which have done the same thing.

1.)I have understood that if I want to create a new RAC environment I have to start with the installation of Oracle Clusterware or I can use Sun cluster and I will have the same results, I mean which is best and why? in terms of cost, support and performance?

2).Which file system is best, ASM or ZFS and why?

3).Can I use the tool "cluvfy" to make a "health check" before the installation on any oracle product ( Clusterware, Grid, Database, EM)?

Howdy, Stranger!
