While in a double byte upper/lower case environment why does the name search only allow searches in

<Q> While in a double byte upper/lower case environment why does the name search only allow searches in all upper case letters?
<A> Currently the problem is the Descriptions Compressed field the compressed description contains the alpha name without spaces, slashes,  dashes, commas, and other special characters.  The compressed description is the field used in the Name Search and it appears that it forces the compressed description fields to be upper case.
