Poor ZFS performanc in a Oracle Database Cluster
Hi experts,
We are dealing with a poor ZFS performance on our Oracle Database ZFS file systems in a 2-node Cluster.
We are using:
2 x M5000 servers with each 256 GB physical memory and each 4 CPU's. These 2 servers forms a 2-node cluster (3.3 upd 1).
One cluster node hosts 16 failover zones with in totaal 24 Oracle databases, 160 Zpools and ZFS-file systems - it has 112 GB free memory.
The other cluster nodes has 18 zones with 32 Oracle databases, using 185 Zpools - it has 168 GB free memory.
The database disks are LUNs on EMC Clariion SAN's on 15GB fiber optic disks.
The CPU have avg 65% idle time.
