Experience and advice for 7.7 (SEA) to 8.1.x (SIA) upgrade

Hi,

We are planning to upgrade our Siebel environment from 7.7 (SEA) to 8.1.1.x (SIA) and thought I would create this post to hear the experience of other community members that have undertaken a similar upgrade activity.

We have read all of the upgrade documentation we can find on Oracle, but it is also good to hear from other people that have been through the upgrade first hand.

For example, how did the change in the address and contacts relationship affect your system and what did you do (or would you do) in order to limit the impact of the change. Or how long did it take after the actually technical lift to stabalize the upgraded environment.
