Legal Entity issue in R12 upgraded instance
Our client is upgrading form Oracle 11.5.10 to R12.1.3 and we are facing the following issue with respect to Legal Entity.
In 11i there are 4 Operating Units with 3 legal entities attached to these OU’s say OU1 & OU2 using same legal entity LE1. Ideally they should be different. Post 11i to R12 upgrade we are seeing only 3 legal entities which we could use to transact. We are looking into the same for resolution and thinking about the below suggestions.
Either we can create a new LE and assign the Balancing segment value to this unit but what will happen to historical data? Moreover when it should be added? Pre upgrade or post upgrade?
