How to handle the Inventory intransit and its accounting

 Hi,
Scenario :

1. I have raised a PO for Item X 
2. Item is dispatched by supplier and it takes 45 days for it to reach our ware house
3. Supplier has dispatched and the risk is on us for the goods.

Question :

How do I handle this item dispatched as Inventory intransit, as I cannot do receiving unless its physically received.
