IP address change

Our network administartor have told me that the IP address on one of the host server with  Oracle database (11g) running on it will need to be chnaged.  I was told that the computer name of on that host will not be changed,  just the IP number.  My question is, would it impact to the normal operations to the databases already created in there, and what kind of implications I may be facing after the change?Do I need to restall the Oracle database just to be safe?
