RACCheck 2.1.6(BETA)_20120817 incorrectly reports open files limit (ulimit -n) value

edited Sep 6, 2012 8:25AM in Database - RAC/Scalability (MOSC) 6 commentsAnswered

Running raccheck  2.1.6(BETA)_20120817 on a 4 node Linux x86_64bit cluster running 11.2.0.3 and it incorrectly reports the open files limit on the all the remote nodes whereas the local one passed.

However the values is set to 65536 on all the nodes for both 'root' and 'oracle' users which I've verified.

However the assessment report shows the values as "4096".

This makes the recommendations less reliable.

This issue seems to have been reported under "Bug 13523363 : RACCHECK GIVING WRONG ERRORS ON OPEN FILES" in Dec 2011 however it still seems to be an issue with the latest release too.

Any comments?
