Database character set uncertainty: 10gR2 (US7ASCII ) to 11gR2 (---?---)

I have a 10gR2 database now with character set US7ASCII (on Windows Server Standard without Hyper-V Service pack 1). The database hosts replicated data.  I am in the process of building a replacement database on an 11gR2 server (Windows Server 2008 R2 standard), and DCA does not present US7ASCII as a character set from the drop-down list. Most of the literature I have stumbled on recommends WE8MSWIN1252 with the justification that all characters included in the US7ASCII character set are defined in WE8MSWIN1252 with the same codepoint. Should I be good with WE8MSWIN1252 or are there other variables I should

Howdy, Stranger!
