Can you Enter a Stock Line on a Direct Ship Order?

As of the World A9.3 release, the Direct Ship Order program (P4243) will accommodate stock line types. Prior to the A9.3 release, P4243 will only handle line types with a 'D' inventory interface, which deems there to be no affect to your inventory quantities.
The initial concept of a 'direct ship order' was such that your supplier would be sending goods directly to your customer without those goods ever entering your warehouse. That being the case, P4243 was designed to accommodate only that scenario. Prior to the A9.3 release, there is nothing to stop you from entering a stock line on a direct ship order; however, you will get unpredictable results. For example, the Direct Ship program does not update committed quantities correctly in the Item Balance file (F41021) for stock lines.
