java.lang.NullPointerException at oracle.apps.xdo.template.fo.area.xdofo.CarryForwardArea.updateVal

Hi experts,
We have a issue with printing the output in BI publisher.
when we submit the request data is generated in xml but it is not printed as pdf output due to the below mentioned issue.
The log file shows the below message and the report errors out.

Any help or clue on this is highly appreciated.
I have attached the xml file and the template for reference( rename test.xml.txt as test.xml )

java.lang.NullPointerException
at oracle.apps.xdo.template.fo.area.xdofo.CarryForwardArea.updateValues(CarryForwardArea.java:57)
at oracle.apps.xdo.template.fo.area.PageArea.handleDeferredArea(PageArea.java:1051)
