Memory requirement for 11g Standard

We're currently running 11g standard on Win Server 2003 with only 4GB and the db at times crashes due to insufficient memory.  Since Win server 2003 only sees up to 4GB of RAM, we must upgrade the NOS.  Can 11g standard run on Win server 2012 or only Win server 8?  Thanks.
