Cash management i don't want display the previous trancations

Dear Experts,

we have implemented cash management and due to some other reasons not used CM application . now we want use the CM From JAN-12 for reconciliation. But system was showing all trasactions that is past transactions.

Now i dont want see the those transactions in CM application . for that i am going to change the begain date in system parameters from 01JAN12.

If i change is there any critical affects on this.

Please give me your suggestion.
