How can I display a date field as FY/FQ ?

I have a column that contains dates. I would like these dates to display as Fiscal Year /Fiscal Quarter rather than the actual date. For instance, October 1, 2012 is in Fiscal Quarter 3 Fiscal Year 2012- I would like to display this as FY2012 FQ3
