Master data issue

Hi all,

My client is uisng JDE 8.0 SP 24 and the data base is on  Ms Sql 2008 SP1 64 BIT. The issue is the user are entering the Item Master information into P4101 MANUALLY by looking at the Excel sheet Template data, so some times when they enter the records the Table values F4101 are getting stored wrongly for example in UPMJ field the user id is getting stored and in TDAY field some JOBN value is getting stored. So we couldnt able to identify how this can happen since the users are not uploading anything in to Item they are manually entering and also if a wrong value is stored in the table how the system is allowing it to store the record with out giving hard error and finally once the record
