Void and reissue through interim workbench not working for us

We are trying to void a payment and re-issue it with a few modifications.  However, because we need to override the tax amounts we have to do the re-issue through the interim work bench.  When we try to do this we seem to be getting an error.  Is it possible to do a void and re-issue for the same week and have them both in the interim workbench?
