Serial Numbers have wrong Accounting Classification in Install Base

We have encountered 23 Serial Numbers that have wrong Accounting Classification in the Installed Base. The affected Serial Numbers have Acct. Class. "Inventory", instead of "Customer Product". As a result it is impossible to use the Serial Numbers in the Service Requests, and subsequently we cannot invoice customers for I&C and other billable service
