Difference between RCOIS and Configurator Web service?

Hi  Experts...

Can some one help me about understanding of below BS

Q:)What is the main difference in the Below two Bussiness Services

  1)RCOIS

  2)Configurator Web Service   (CWS)

Q:) when to use RCOIS and when to use Configurator web Service ?

Q:) when i closely observe , i see many methods are same for both the BS. which methods /Scenarios are extra in CSW?

Q:) which BS is more effective for doing same functionolities  which are supported by RCOIS and CWS?
