Need to delete CIP Assets

Hi
I need to delete the CIP assets which were wrongly entered by user in the current open period

I know that we can capitalize them and then make the asset cost 0, but the same are reflecting in the asset additions report.

my concern is that it should not reflect in the asset additions report.

Please let me know any other way to delete the CIP assets added in the current open period, or is it possible thru API??
